Biking (15-20km) 2-3hrsPick up at your hotel in Hanoi to depart in a scenic 4 hrs. drive to Mai Chau. Located in Hoa Binh Province, Mai Chau is famed for its splendid vistas of mountains and valleys surrounded by lush forests and quaint villages, inhabited mainly by the White Thai ethnic group. Upon arrival, check in in your accommodation and free time to rest.
In the late afternoon, go on a 2 to 3 hrs. cycling tour through the beautiful valley of Mai Chau and some of its minority villages, where you will be able to interact with locals and learn about their daily lives. Return to your hotel and overnight in Mai Chau.
Trekking 3-5km (2-3hours)After breakfast, we will begin our 1.5 hrs. drive to Pu Luong. Situated on the way from Mai Chau to Cuc Phuong National Park, Pu Luong is a truly “off the beaten track” destination for those who are looking for a serene adventure, away from foreign and local crowds. Upon arrival, start trekking through the stunning rice terraces, breath-taking mountain passes and traditional villages of ethnic minorities. The route will take you to the charming Pu Luong Retreat, where a tasty lunch will be served as you enjoy the terrific views from this location. After lunch, transfer back to your resort in Mai Chau and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
150km (4hrs)Today will be free to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings before checking-out and driving back Hanoi. Estimated arrival in Hanoi in the late afternoon.
