ITINERARY/SCHEDULE

Start your downtown sightseeing walking around Sule Pagoda, here you will see the many fortune tellers hanging around under the trees. Take off the bus be sure to take a quick photo break at the Sule Pagoda; this is the landmark of the city center, which was built more than 2,000 years ago. Look at the Independence Monument and the green Mahanbandola Garden. If you turn around you will come across the twice newly built town hall.

Finally climb up the steps to the world-famous Shwedagon Pagoda, the massive 99-meter-high gold plate pagoda with the diamond studded spire set on top, landmark of Myanmar. The main stupa enshrines the relics of the four previous Buddha’s including sacred hair relics of the most recent Buddha. Walk barefoot through the magnificent building and visit its courtyards, stupas, bells, temples and Buddha figures.

Morning after breakfast, drive on Pun Hlaing golf club. (available on weekdays)

Pun Hlaing – the best Golf Course in Myanmar. The 18-hole Gary Player designed Pun Hlaing Golf Club opened in 2000 is situated 12km west of Yangon, which is the gateway to Myanmar. 

Pun Hlaing Golf Club is often referred to as the ‘Pride of Myanmar’ and has hosted some golf tournaments in the region, including the Myanmar Masters Tour in 2008.

After playing golf, free time and leisure for the rest of the day.

Bagan is a spectacular plain stretching from the Ayeyarwaddy River, dotted with thousands of 800-year old temple ruins. Although human habitation at Bagan dates back almost to the beginning of the Christian era, Bagan only entered its golden period with the conquest of Thaton in 1057 AD.

After checking in at the hotel, sightseeing starts with the Thatbyinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, massive Dhammayangyi Temple, noted for its remarkable brickwork. Proceed to the Shwesandaw Pagoda for a first circular view. Our other visits include some of the most important pagodas and temples, such as The Ananda Temple with its statues of Buddha standing in all four directions, and the Manuha Temple from 1059 AD.

Picnic lunch near the temple ruins. (depends on the weather, if it rains we will eat elsewhere).

In the afternoon, sightseeing with e-bike, bike and wind your way to the local workshop – we will exhibit and take part in a lacquerware workshop; Bagan has been the center of the production of varnish for more than 1000 years and another famous local workshop - Pon yay gyi or black bean curd paste, an essential part in most Burmese dishes cooked with pork and served over rice, or as part of a salad on the side.

Enjoy a sunset view from one of the most scenic spots overlooking the plains of Bagan before returning to your hotel in the early evening.

After having breakfast at the hotel, flight to Heho. Available flight time K7 242 at 8:35-9:15 

Transport from Heho to Ayetharyar Golf Club. Ayetharyar Golf Club - Situated more than 3000 feet above sea level in the highlands of Southern Shan State, it receives a refreshing cool breeze all year round and boasts beautiful mountains and valley sceneries. (Open daily)

After freshening up, playing golf at Ayetharyar.

Overnight in Taunggyi.

Taunggyi - 1,430 meters above sea-level, is the capital of Shan State. It is cool and pleasant all year round. There are pines, cherry and eucalyptus trees growing all over the town and the whole area is green and tranquil.

Morning sightseeing at Taunggyi Market where buying and selling their regional. Then, drive to Inle.

Ready to explore Inle Lake with observe the daily activities of the local fishermen rowing their feet and see the green floating gardens, resting on water hyacinths and anchored on the lake floor by bamboo poles. Visit to the morning market (depend on 5day market schedule) and then visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, which contains five sacred images of Buddha decorated in gold leaf. 

Overnights in Nyaung Shwe or Inle.

Fly back to Yangon, transfer to the international airport departure gate for your return flight. From Yangon you may request to stay an additional night or head to your next destination.
