Arrive in Hanoi, where the tour guide will bring you to the hotel, transferred by an air-conditioned private vehicle. Rest up after the long journey and then in the afternoon, we will do a cyclo tour around the Old Quarter of Hanoi, in the evening time enjoy a puppet show in the city.
Welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
Hotel breakfast and after finishing head to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the One Pillar Pagoda, which was home to HCMC. After finishing those sites, head to the Temple of Literature which was a dedicated site for studying Confucianism. Lunch break at a local restaurant and once finished, visit the Avenue de L’Opera, Post Office, and the residential quarters of the Governor of Tonkin.
Free time after visiting the major sites. Overnight in Hanoi.
A quick breakfast at the hotel and depart for Ba Be which should take about 5 hours by land vehicle.
Renowned for its many natural splendours, we will visit the Museum of Ethnology that displays informative features of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. On the road, we will witness beautiful sceneries that are picture worthy, so do not forget to bring your camera! After lunch and getting to Ba Be, check into the hotel. Then, we will visit Pac Ngoi village and the many hillsides where the local tribal community settled.
Encounter many other local tribal communities through the time in Ba Be and have an early dinner whilst enjoying a ceremonial dance show.
Overnight stay in Ba Be.
Breakfast in the hotel, then head to Nang River by boat. Through the cultivated fields and karst cliffs we will discover the Puong tunnel/cave and a waterfall called Dau Dang. Sit down for your own lunch and then continue the cruise through the Ba Be Lake. Whilst on the journey, we will visit a temple called “An Ma” which is dedicated to the genius of Waters and Fairy Pond (Ao Tien) Islets.
After that, head back to Ba Be, dinner and overnight stay in Ba Be.
Hotel breakfast then depart for Cao Bang. While traveling through the Cao Bang region we will visit multiple ethnic groups: Nung, Dao, H’Mong and Tay. A local market visit along the way and arriving in Cao Bang. Check-in at the hotel and then head out to visit 36 lakes of Thang Hen, the lakes are formed by tortuous rocks similar to Halong Bay. After that, lunch in Cao Bang before heading out to Ban Gioc Waterfalls, this waterfall is one of the largest waterfalls in Vietnam. Additionally, we will go to the Nguom Ngao Cave, only 2km away from the waterfall.

After Breakfast in the hotel we will visit Pac Po village. The prior home to the refuge, Ho Chi Minh when he returned after 30 years abroad. Then head to Cac-Mac mountain before departing to Lan Son by crossing sceneries of peaks and caves in the region. Arrival in Lang Son, check-in the hotel. Lunch in a restaurant, head to visit Tam Thanh Cave, Hon Vong Phu Mountain and Nhi Thanh Cave. Free time to walk in the evening later on and potentially see Ky Lua market. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After a quick breakfast at the hotel. Head to Halong Bay, boarding a cruise that will take us through the 3,000 and more rocky islets in the Halong Bay region.
If time permits, go swimming and chill out on the beachfront. Overnight on-board the cruise ship.
On the ship, enjoy breakfast while drifting through the landscapes of world-famous natural sites. Throughout the morning travel through the karsts and have lunch on-board.
After docking, disembark for a drive to Ninh Binh. Which is considered the ancient capital of Vietnam.
If we have time, we will stop by Nam Dinh to visit Pho Minh Pagoda. Arrive in Ninh Binh.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ninh Binh.
Hotel breakfast, then head to visit Bich Dong Cave, enjoy a boat trip on the Ngo Dong river crossing over Tam Coc caves. Lunch at a local restaurant in the area. Visit the Phat Diem Cathedral, which is the largest architectural complex in Vietnam for the Catholic populous. Head back to Ninh Binh and dinner at a local restaurant with another overnight at the hotel in Ninh Binh.
Last day of the tour, breakfast in the hotel. Head back to Hanoi while driving by the Perfume Pagoda, which is located 60km outside of Hanoi. It has spectacular mountainous scenery and sets of pagodas.
Finishing off the visit, take a boat trip and a slight walk to see a marvellous sanctuary.
Lastly, drive the remainder back to Hanoi.
