Pick up a your hotel in Hanoi's Old Town and depart on a 4 hrs. drive to Pu Luong. Situated on the way from Mai Chau to Cuc Phuong National Park, Pu Luong Nature Reserve is a truly “off the beaten track” destination for those looking for a serene adventure, away from foreign and local crowds. Upon arrival, enjoy a tasty lunch while enjoying the captivating panoramic views from this tranquil setting.
In the afternoon, we will begin with our exploration of this area. We will drive to the starting point about 12 kilometres away, where we will start our walk to the suspension bridge over the Cham River. Afterwards, follow the path along the river to the traditional water wheels, and find out how water is transported from the river to the nearby villages through a network of rustic bamboo aqueducts. Subsequently, we'll arrive in Chieng Lau village, where you can explore or rest for a moment. Return to the main road and transfer back the retreat.
After breakfast, start descending into the beautiful valley located in front of the retreat by walking through the stunning rice terraces. Following a small path lined with vegetation you will arrive to a picturesque village situated at the base of the mountain. Continue your journey passing though local farms, villages and rivers. Savour the ever-changing scenery until reaching a spectacular spot where you'll enjoy a simple picnic lunch. Afterwards, relax and refresh at the river nearby then head to the pick-up point and drive back to Hanoi.
