Hanoi - Halong - Hue - Hoi An - Saigon

After your arrival in Hanoi, you will be met at the airport and escorted to the “VIP Fast Track” or“ Priority Lanes” so that you can enter the country faster.
Our airport staff will also assist you with the security checks and baggage claim Your local tour guide will pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel (early check-in incl.). When you're ready your guide awaits in the lobby to start an introductory walk around Hanoi's charming old quarter.
Stroll along Hoan Kiem Lake to the Ngoc Son Temple and get a first impression of the capital. During a café stop in a typical 'tube house', you can look out over the Hoan Kiem Lake and relax a little. Then visit the Temple of Literature, where you can retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city before heading to the hotel and freshening up.

In the evening, a welcome dinner awaits you at the Club De L'Oriental.

Today, after breakfast at the hotel, you will explore the most interesting sights and districts in a cyclo-ride and a walk through Hanoi's old quarter with its lively 36 artisan's streets, which will give you a closer look at the nation's past and present. Discover the microcosm of the capital of Vietnam. Make stops at St. Joseph's Cathedral and Dong Xuan Market. Then visit the Tran Quoc Pagoda on the serene West Lake. In the afternoon you will visit a water puppeteer in his own home, where he'll give you a private performance. The rest of the day is free.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Hai Phong (approx. 125 km, 2 ½ hours) to board your luxurious Halong Bay cruise. With more than 3,000 karst mountains protruding from the clear, emerald green water, Halong Bay looks almost magical. Around noon, you will board your luxury cruiser, where you will be expected for lunch. While driving through the picturesque bay you can relax and enjoy the breath-taking scenery. In the afternoon you go on some excursions before you can watch the sunset on the sundeck (no private guide on board).

In the morning you can see the first rays of sunshine on deck while practicing Tai Chi with a local master. After breakfast, the ship goes to other beautiful corners of the bay. As it slowly sails back to the harbor, enjoy brunch on board before disembarking around noon.
Your guide will meet you again and take you back to Hanoi to the airport for a short flight to Hue (if time permits, stop at the Du Hang Pagoda and Hang Kenh Community House in Hai Phong). Upon arrival in Hue, your new guide will pick you up and take you to the hotel.

In the morning you will meet the family of a well-known historian and author (family of Mr. Phan Thuan An) in the temple of Princess Ngoc Son. Afterwards you will visit the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden City.
At lunchtime you have the opportunity to go on a culinary journey with your tour guide, sampling local specialties such as “Bun Bo Hue” and / or other steamed dishes made from rice flour.
In the afternoon transfer to the famous landmark of the city of Hue, the Thien Mu Pagoda and visit a typical garden house. Here you will meet the hosts and hear many interesting stories about the culture and life of the people in Hue (subject to change). Tea and snacks will be available. At the end of the day, take a leisurely boat ride back down the Perfume River.

Today you leave Hue and drive over the Hai Van pass, past the beautiful Lang Co Beach to Hoi An (130km, 2 ¾ hours). On the way, visit the remarkable royal tomb of Minh Mang. We will also stop at a small incense factory and at the Tu Hieu Pagoda (currently under renovation), where the Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh lived. In Danang you will visit the renowned Cham Museum.
Overnight in Hoi An.
Enjoy the morning at the resort and relax on the beach. Then take a short trip to the outskirts of Hoi An to visit the ancient Cham ruins of My Son. Ceremonial towers built by the Cham civilization stand here in the midst of the overgrown nature.
In the afternoon, get to know the charming old town of Hoi An on a guided tour. See the famous Japanese Bridge, pagodas, and communal houses. The rest of the time is free in the old town for a visit to one of the numerous tailors for which the town is renowned. Transfer back to the resort at the end of your visit.

Morning flight from Danang (about 30 minutes drive to the airport) to Saigon, where your new tour guide picks you up and takes you to the city center.
You will stay in a centrally located hotel near the former Rue Catinat or Dong Khoi Street.
Experience a breathtaking view of Saigon from the tallest building of the city - the Bitexco Financial Tower.
During a subsequent city tour on foot, you will get to know the lively metropolis better. Stroll to the town hall in the new pedestrian zone. Along the former rue Catinat you will find the colonial post office and the Notre Dame Cathedral (currently under renovation). Finally, enjoy your sundowner with a view from a modern roof-top bar.

Overnight in Saigon.
In the morning around 8.30 am you drive to the 'rice bowl' of Vietnam, as the fertile Mekong Delta is often called (90 km, approx. 1 ¾ hour drive).
After arriving in Ben Tre, you will board Cai Be Princess to sail the river and the small winding canals the criss-cross its islands. On the way you will visit various local factories and gain insights into the traditional production methods of the region's famed coconut products. In a village, take a short bike ride (if desired) to a fruit garden. This is where lunch will be served, before continuing through smaller canals in small sampans. Transfer back to the Pricess in a local tuk tuk. Transfer back to Saigon in the afternoon, with a stop at the Vinh Trang Pagoda in My Tho. In the evening enjoy your dinner at SH Dong Khoi Restaurant.
Overnight in Saigon.
After breakfast (9 am) you will visit a family of musicians in their private house, where you will get to know their collection of traditional instruments and also enjoy a short private performance.
Then take a trip to the lively Cholon Chinese district. Here you will stroll through the Binh Tay Market Hall and visit the Taoist Thien Hau Temple.
The rest of the day is then free and you will be brought to the airport in good time (about a 30-minute drive) for your departure (late check-out until 6 p.m. for an additional charge).
